Sunset on the Dunes

I had to get out of the city, and so I did. I took a trip to the coast to be quiet for a while and reconnect with myself and my practice. In this limited palette work one can see decision and honesty; an attempt not to overwork any area of the painting. In this specific work the fleeting light of sunset forced my hand, in a sense, and I am grateful for it. I spoke this and several others into the world during my retreat: all of them now representing to me a creative and personal change of direction, and a movement towards honesty in action wherever I might be.
