Charles River, Boston

This was done during a hot few summer days while visiting a friend in town. I needed a break from the concrete jungle to do a large plein air oil painting and the Charles River and the famous Salt and Pepper Bridge, seemed a perfect breezy respite. We had to tie the large canvas on the hood of his sports car as we speeded through town, and he would drop me off in the morning by the river where I'd tie the large canvas off to a light post to keep from blowing away. We did this for 4 consecutive beautiful summer Boston days, and this was the result.
