The view from Dan's Cabin

I created this painting during an artist in residence program I attended at the Porcupine Mountains National Park in the deep woods. I stayed there in a cabin for 2 weeks hiking and created some paintings on location. The woods were deep, mysterious and full of life. I created this scene on the deck of the cabin during a rain storm and enjoy the rich vibrate colors that came out within the piece.
