Antique Roses in Vintage Yellow Vase

I cut clusters of this very old rose that has bloomed with flourish and abandon every summer. I placed them in a beloved vintage vase and painted this plein air still life on our deck. It took me two long summer late afternoons and evenings to paint! Oil on cradled wood panel.
