"Trillium"

Oil on canvas. Trillium wildflowers grow in woodland areas of northern states and Canada. They were endangered, then protected and now are very prolific depending on the weather. They are the first flower of the spring and when they bloom, I know there will be no more snow. Sketches were made in the woods and a composite of drawings became my final image.
