A New Dream

Sometimes our plans get derailed for heartbreaking reasons that we can't explain. Loss in all its forms brings opportunity for reflection and with it the seA burnt sienna grisaille underpainting was used to establish values and perspective before starting the 2 - 3 passes of color using a limited palette of cad yellow, alizarin crimson permanent, ultramarine blue, ivory black and titanium white. No medium was used except for the OMS in the early stages. arch for a new dream. This piece was inspired by such loss for myself this past winter and the realization that if I look long and hard enough, a new dream will motivate me to keep pushing through this time.
