Lady in Orange

I was surfing the web one day looking at paintings and other such artwork and came across a picture of a woman with a serene gaze. I was struck by the look in her eyes and wanted to recreate it completely in my own way and style. I sat at my desk and quickly sketched out a face with a scarf wrapped around the head and big showy earrings ( I love earrings) to frame it. I had no model to look at besides what my mind put together, along with a blazingly bright Californian day in March, which was the inspiration behind the vibrant splashes of colors. The style is completely my own.
