Farm Workers In A Lavender Field

Oil on gallery wrap canvas. I was driving North on I-15 and saw about a dozen workers weeding the lavender fields of Young Living Essential Oils. From the reference work I photographed, the painting shows only 3 of the workers. I wanted to keep it simple and these three men were my favorite poses. It was a cloudy day, so when I painted the concept in my studio, my hope was to capture the effect of ground shadows from the clouds onto the field.
