Quinn

This painting was completed alla prima in my studio this past March, from a photo reference of my niece Quinn. It is painted in oil on canvas mounted to wood panel. I was inspired by Quinn's intense eye contact that make her both fierce and unguarded. The sunlight passing through her hair, to her shoulder frames her beautifully. My hope is that when you view this painting, you sense something familiar, and that aura of familiarity brings back a moment; a simple, wistful memory. Such images brought to mind, move the human heart toward emotion, and what is art if not emotion?
