Dash Cam 5:43pm

Sometimes while driving I see scenes that strike me and I grab them from our car’s dash cam footage to paint them. This painting depicts the scene at 5:43pm on a stretch of US-6 East in upstate New York. I tried to convey some of the beauty of New York’s big skies and scenic drives. And if you look carefully you can see a hint of our car hood at the bottom of the painting. Painted with watercolor on cold press paper.
