Post and Pillar of the Senate

Plein air dyptch of the Nevada state Senate building in Carson City, Nevada. The painting was done completely plein air over two consecutive days; the first morning was dedicated to drawing. I then masked off the lettering with masking tape and a sharp knife. The next morning I returned to the site to paint. The two pieces of 7.5"x22" 140 cold press paper were painted together, as seen in the 2nd image attachment.
